Another 2 weeks and I’ll be off again to my second home in sweet old 4-seasons-in-a-day Melbourne. But first things first;
CNY is comin’ CNY is comin’!!
I totally look forward to the Chinese New Year every year. Lucky for my family and I, we still have huge gatherings every year. Be it the CNY eve reunion dinner or the next 5 days of CNY. It’s the only time of the year when I get to see all the relatives whom I only see once a year. Clear enough? Haha.
Yea, ‘meet once a year’ relatives. Or during any other celebrations, weddings, funerals, etc etc.. Other than that, it is only once in a year.
In cantonese, I’ll say my CNYs are very "yit-low", if that’s right. It means, noisy, happy, and "WAH, you so big already!I still remember that time when you always followed your Ah Mah for mahjong in my old Kapar road house". I enjoy every bit of it, even though it’s repetitive through out the years. Things will change, eventually. People grow up and grow apart. That is how it is. Good things will come to an end. But there will be other good things to start. Still too early to say, but I will miss it when it’s gone. Old family traditions, huge gatherings and whatnot.
As for now, I am going to enjoy what I have in my life. Live for the present, as the future is yet to be untold.
Gong Hei Fatt Choy! Have a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year!

..yang indah..untuk?
Tepat jangkaanmu.
Holly cow! How was my BM? Boleh pass kah? Nuts la. Took like 10 minutes just to write a short paragraph. It’s so down the drain la. To think that I used to score in Karangan 5 years ago, no more! haha.. Well, just re read what I wrote, and I started laughing. This is a nutty post. You can just leave if you want to.
Hahahaaa…

* To shop for Christmas in Orchard Road.
* To shop for a new pair of sneakers in Sg. Wang.
* To go on a beach vacation.
* To spend more time with Ming.
* To get used to driving in PeeJay.
* To have slumber parties with my close buds.
* To have a stronger internet connection (download movies!).
* To drive on a road free from pot holes and traffic jam (yeeaahh right!).
Well..all is said, but not done. For now, I’ll be surfing the net aimlessly and snooping on people’s friendster pictures. I think I feel lonelier now than staying in Melbourne alone. Never thought I would come to that conclusion. Friends nearby, yet far far away. Hoping for a better day tomorrow. Hm..

So fine, I have too much time on my side. Gives me that nudge to get my fingers working, texting to people I haven’t really talked to in awhile. Having too much credit in my phone is another reason.
Just texted two people in my contact list. None replied. I was just wondering, is it really that hard? or expensive? It’s like what, 15 cents per text? beats the shit out of 30 aussie cents. Still, I am willing to text. Because calling would be too expensive and moreover, akward, if in any case. So I believe, texting is the way to go. Some people might disagree. Financial issues, paying for monthly credit talktime is too much. Like, how often do I text them anywayz. Seems like my return has been forgotten.
A lot of people classifies studying in Australia as not being ‘far enough’ to be missed. Is distance really the matter here?
Spot on.
I am darn pissed today. Staying at home too much has side effects. Rephrase: Staying at home in ‘Port Klang’ too much has way way more side effects. In addition, pigeons have been breeding above the roof of my room.
Yippie - NOT!

Took Fifa to the clinic earlier to get his yearly vaccination. Without it, he wouldn’t be able to obtain his dog license, which is just ridiculous! Making it harder to get dog licenses only deters dog owners from actually getting a license. Enough said.
Sometimes I really wonder who reads this blog. I think it’s too hidden in a friendster page to be noticable. I would want to have a real BLOGSPOT page. But I am too lazy to keep up with it. It would probably be growing with cobwebs in 3 months. But you see, I’ve got all qualifications to start one. I have basic computer graphic skills, which would help beautify the site. My vocabulary and grammar skills aren’t that far off either! hehe. Sorry, didn’t mean to discriminate. But I’m not saying I’m super great, just sufficient enough I suppose. Besides that, I have a digi cam which I totally do not use at all. I think Ixus would be better off with another owner, a blogging maniac like Miss Yang I believe. Not to say I’m giving it to you Cass, just that it’s not oftenly used.
Maybe someday I’ll start a blogspot site. Hopefully with a partner to manage it too. At least reading about 2 lives in one site would be way more interesting.
Like I said, nothing interesting about this post. Just another dull dull day. Sigh..

Two days ago, Mingmon and I decided to venture into the realms of KL city. Still, not my cup of tea. But dearie dear said I should have the full-on experience of living the KL city life! I can tell you, the last time I stepped foot in Lot 10, Starhill or Bt. Bintang is about…5-10 years ago. Of course lah, there’s the occasional visit to Low Yat to get computer stuff. But most of the time, we (family and I) get to low yat, find whatever we need to buy, then off! We would be back home in good old klang by 4pm cuz mum usually needs to cook on a weekend.
So yea, I’ve never really experienced the glitz and glamour of KL city at night. Clubbing in Jln Sultan Ismail? NEVER. Starbucks on Bt. Bintang till the wee hours? NEVER. Planet Hollywood? Passed by once (on the way to low yat mar!). Shopping in Sg Wang Plaza? To get my bro’s mobile phone early this year but that was that. Only to the phone shop, bought, done and balik terus (one of those low yat trips). I guess my family is not big on crowded shopping places. Plus, dad not very happy going back to KL. He’s been working in KL for the past 28 years driving to and from Port Klang everyday.
So yeah, went to KL, hit the traffic jam and I felt oh-so-headach-y already. Plus the blister that is getting worse every second from my new pretty shoes. Couldn’t stay till dinner as my feet wasn’t allowing me to (darn you pretty shoes!). Shopping wasn’t as fantastic that day. Sigh.
The honking, the constant "ah moi ah moi" calls from Malay boys and the off and on drizzle wasn’t helping either. Though Ming was trying very hard to make my day a pleasant one by showing me the greatness of KL city, which I totally appreciate. Still, I’m not impressed by our very own Kuala Lumpur. Call me a stay-at-home-slacker. But I’m still open to people trying to change my perception towards KL city.
Well, after all, I still think Jusco Bt Raja is still the best place to shop. Sufficient enough for me. Ha-ha.

Typical!
But I’m back and typing. Been back in Klang for about 1 1/2 weeks now. The weather is just…unforgiving! I had to plead to the rain god just to hold his tears till I’m done with my outdoor-chinese-hawker-food dinner. It worked! Anywayz, I’ve been doing nothing. I’ve read my november issue of CLEO more than 10 times. I can even tell you what colour Jessica Alba is wearing on every page she’s in. HA-HA.
Fifa has had ‘excess baggage’ since I left. He doesnt runs as much anymore. Signs of old age? He’s only 28 in dog years! That’s not too old. Klang’s construction is still at a standstill. Klang-ons should be getting 4WD’s just to drive in Klang. The number of pot-holes, uncountable! The good old rambutan tree at the back of my house is chopped down. No more Mr Squirrel wee weeing on my room’s ceiling. Hehe. Then again, the tree has given us lots of rambutans over the years. I will miss it.
I’m outta cash! But still lots more to shop!! Oh well, the Visa is gonna be my good friend from now on.
Don’t know what else to update. I’ll update more when I think of something. Spending 24/7 at home is not something interesting to blog about. Oh, my home got a new automatic gate! I know, no biggie, but a biggie for this old house! Don’t have to be the one opening gates for all the cars anymore.
Till then.. au revoir!

Who would have thought? 6.56am and I’m…………………………………
AWAKE!!!!
Actually, I was already wide awake at 5.05 am but I was hoping to go back to sleep till my alarm rings me. Damn the brightness. Nevermind about that… it’s actually raining! After days and days of draught news.
Well well.. anime’s on tv on an early Saturday morning (kids are up so early to catch cartoons on Saturday mornings?) Flashback: My cousin was up at 6am to watch Pinnochio with my late grandmother..15 years ago!
ANYWAY, see see Cassie! I’m up at 6am! I beat you!! Bwahahaha. Then again, it’s only once in a blue blue moon. Blame the cramps. Gotta salute this girl. She’s up at 7-8am everyday, even on holidays! Well, at least no more mid night calls to bug you off your sleep.
Dunno lah, just feel so restless. I wish I could sleep longer. But my heart beat was racing at about 5am. Felt so uneasy. Is this a stress-wake-up-call? Figures. The last time I woke up (without an alarm clock) so early was during SPM days. Waking up worrying about studying. Like how I woke up worrying about assignments awhile ago. Tsk tsk.
I need help.
I’ll be home in 14 days! Woo HOO!! I’m dreaming of my nasi lemak…hmmmmmm… Can’t wait to see how fat Fifa has gotten. Geez. Wish my family could stop feeding him so much. I really hope he lives up till his ripe old age of.. dog’s age (whenever that is).
Okie doke. Rain has stopped. I can go grocery shopping now (24 hours!). Taaaz.

I really wonder how my lecturer’s minds work sometimes. A student can come up with the most extravagant piece of work, agreed my his/her peers but when it comes to the lecturer’s comments…. it goes downhill. Oh, then, one lecturer goes all the way with what the student does, encouraging and supporting, and the other goes, "its all wrong!". So what does the student do? The cons of having more than 1 lecturer in a class. Different minds works differently, that I’ll agree. But don’t they understand that it’s a big deal to the student what they think?
Bottom line, lecturers can DEFINITELY drive a student to insanity.
I bet many uni students can relate to this. Is it just interior/architecture lecturers that are guilty? I heard many stories from my interior/architecture mates. Until today, I never thought of it as a big deal but having to experience it now? GRUESOME. I feel you.
A bad day..and a super hectic weekend coming my way. Not a good time to piss me off. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Heheezz…

Fill up whatever you wanna fill up in that blank because I think being a Malaysian has its pros and cons. It could be Proud to be a Malaysian, Hate to be a Malaysian, Rojak to be a Malaysian, and er.. whatever swear words you have. Pushed aside all the nonsense, I’m definitely going with AUTHENTIC to be a MALAYSIAN!
On this almost summer day when it’s windy, sunny and dry outside. I prefer to stay home and avoid the sun. Me no quite likey the sunny. I thought about what is so authentic about being a Malaysian. Like how I want my tea to be in a mamak shop.
Ice tea - Teh O Ais
Ice tea with milk - Teh Ais
Ice tea with milk and ginger - Teh Halia (being ginger)
Any ice tea with less sugar - add "Kurang Manis"
and of course, my all time favourite;
Ice tea with lime - Teh O Ais Limau (being lime)
..and the added colouring of the tea just makes it look like a pretty orangy drink. Haha. Glorious tea! It always taste lovely. As long as you don’t see them making it, not to mention the amount of sugar that goes into one cup, and how bare hands are used to squeeze the lime into the tea.. Hahaa!
Pretty simple to be home made, but well, it’ll just never taste the same as the one in a tall plastic cup with a straw by the road side on an unbalanced folded table in the Mamak Stall.
Oh, how I miss my Teh O Ais Limau..
