I WANT!

Monday, December 18th, 2006

* To shop for Christmas in Orchard Road.
* To shop for a new pair of sneakers in Sg. Wang.
* To go on a beach vacation.
* To spend more time with Ming.
* To get used to driving in PeeJay.
* To have slumber parties with my close buds.
* To have a stronger internet connection (download movies!).
* To drive on a road free from pot holes and traffic jam (yeeaahh right!).

Well..all is said, but not done. For now, I’ll be surfing the net aimlessly and snooping on people’s friendster pictures. I think I feel lonelier now than staying in Melbourne alone. Never thought I would come to that conclusion. Friends nearby, yet far far away. Hoping for a better day tomorrow. Hm..

Replying a text message..is it really that hard?

So fine, I have too much time on my side. Gives me that nudge to get my fingers working, texting to people I haven’t really talked to in awhile. Having too much credit in my phone is another reason.

Just texted two people in my contact list. None replied. I was just wondering, is it really that hard? or expensive? It’s like what, 15 cents per text? beats the shit out of 30 aussie cents. Still, I am willing to text. Because calling would be too expensive and moreover, akward, if in any case. So I believe, texting is the way to go. Some people might disagree. Financial issues, paying for monthly credit talktime is too much. Like, how often do I text them anywayz. Seems like my return has been forgotten. :( A lot of people classifies studying in Australia as not being ‘far enough’ to be missed. Is distance really the matter here?

Spot on.

I am darn pissed today. Staying at home too much has side effects. Rephrase: Staying at home in ‘Port Klang’ too much has way way more side effects. In addition, pigeons have been breeding above the roof of my room.

Yippie - NOT!

Nothing interesting here!

Took Fifa to the clinic earlier to get his yearly vaccination. Without it, he wouldn’t be able to obtain his dog license, which is just ridiculous! Making it harder to get dog licenses only deters dog owners from actually getting a license. Enough said.

Sometimes I really wonder who reads this blog. I think it’s too hidden in a friendster page to be noticable. I would want to have a real BLOGSPOT page. But I am too lazy to keep up with it. It would probably be growing with cobwebs in 3 months. But you see, I’ve got all qualifications to start one. I have basic computer graphic skills, which would help beautify the site. My vocabulary and grammar skills aren’t that far off either! hehe. Sorry, didn’t mean to discriminate. But I’m not saying I’m super great, just sufficient enough I suppose. Besides that, I have a digi cam which I totally do not use at all. I think Ixus would be better off with another owner, a blogging maniac like Miss Yang I believe. Not to say I’m giving it to you Cass, just that it’s not oftenly used.

Maybe someday I’ll start a blogspot site. Hopefully with a partner to manage it too. At least reading about 2 lives in one site would be way more interesting.

Like I said, nothing interesting about this post. Just another dull dull day. Sigh..

KL mayhem

Two days ago, Mingmon and I decided to venture into the realms of KL city. Still, not my cup of tea. But dearie dear said I should have the full-on experience of living the KL city life! I can tell you, the last time I stepped foot in Lot 10, Starhill or Bt. Bintang is about…5-10 years ago. Of course lah, there’s the occasional visit to Low Yat to get computer stuff. But most of the time, we (family and I) get to low yat, find whatever we need to buy, then off! We would be back home in good old klang by 4pm cuz mum usually needs to cook on a weekend.

So yea, I’ve never really experienced the glitz and glamour of KL city at night. Clubbing in Jln Sultan Ismail? NEVER. Starbucks on Bt. Bintang till the wee hours? NEVER. Planet Hollywood? Passed by once (on the way to low yat mar!). Shopping in Sg Wang Plaza? To get my bro’s mobile phone early this year but that was that. Only to the phone shop, bought, done and balik terus (one of those low yat trips). I guess my family is not big on crowded shopping places. Plus, dad not very happy going back to KL. He’s been working in KL for the past 28 years driving to and from Port Klang everyday.

So yeah, went to KL, hit the traffic jam and I felt oh-so-headach-y already. Plus the blister that is getting worse every second from my new pretty shoes. Couldn’t stay till dinner as my feet wasn’t allowing me to (darn you pretty shoes!). Shopping wasn’t as fantastic that day. Sigh.

The honking, the constant "ah moi ah moi" calls from Malay boys and the off and on drizzle wasn’t helping either. Though Ming was trying very hard to make my day a pleasant one by showing me the greatness of KL city, which I totally appreciate. Still, I’m not impressed by our very own Kuala Lumpur. Call me a stay-at-home-slacker. But I’m still open to people trying to change my perception towards KL city.

Well, after all, I still think Jusco Bt Raja is still the best place to shop. Sufficient enough for me. Ha-ha.
